Choosing a Christmas gift can take longer than you expect. You want something that feels right for that particular person, and suddenly you have spent half an afternoon looking.
I like starting with something small. A card that reminds you of a friend. A notebook for someone whose bag is always full of scraps of paper. A little illustration that makes you smile because you know exactly who would love it.
Leave a little room for your own words
Whatever you choose, add a few lines by hand. You do not have to write anything grand. A shared memory or a simple thank-you can be enough.
The card I drew for my dad in 2013 ended up framed on his wall. I still think about that when I draw cards for other people to send.
